Did Ed Yourdon know?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I now have to wonder if Ed got a peak at the Senate report card while he was in D.C. He spoke of the end game. This is surely it!

FlameAway-- "This is surely it!"

Just got home from work. Fill me in on your end game synopsis. Links from today, if you please, leading to your take on the situation. Your opinion, is important to me. So is time, which I am trying to quit wasting on fluff (read crap).

Mike:

Read the post right under this one. That was the reason for my question.

Thanks BLehman--

Even though I already guessed it, I find no comfort in being right! I notice a un/acceptable lack of pollys, bet their scrambling to cut and paste old threads. (thin grin).

Well enough of that, back to work hey? (grin) Plenty of folks will be needing help. For this purpose, death was postponed for me a couple of years ago. God give me wisdom, strength and guidance.

Thanks all!!

What end game are you talking about. This thread sounds like it might be interesting if I knew what you were talking about.

Sorry I am so dumb.

Are the grades out again???? Did they drop from their B's and C's????? Wonder what happened to the progress they were making.

The dear distinguished Rep. Horn's grades are out. Sorry, I'm hot link impaired with this machine. Looks real GOOOD!!...UNTIL YOU REALIZE THAT YOU ONLY GET AN F IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO BE READY BEFORE 2002!!!

The 'end game' as it seems to present to me is that the government is able to spin everything to 'roses'. Don't forget the substance that makes roses grow best. I sincerely hope that the government is able to spin the immense problems we face in 2000 into something I can live with. I recently said in a post that I thought it would be a 6 or 6.5. In view of the absolute lack of information coming from TPTB, it will probably be a 9 if you live in a heavily populated area, 8 if you are rural.

Two quotes come to mind. "God protect us for something wicked this way comes."

"Do not go gentle into that good night."
