Critt, I'm not sure. We went from attendance of 400, then 250, then 25, then a determined group of folks who were/are preparing even before the community meetings.

The "happy talk" is winning. Last night the Northern Virginia Community Action Group had our monthly meeting. Attendance used to be good. We had the CIOs of Fairfax City, Fairfax County, Alexandria and Loudoun County. They talked about the progress each jurisdiction was making. The steps they were taking seemed to be well thought out and all were making good efforts. But not one said that they were finished.

We had 6 people in the audience. There were more people in the presenters entourage than were there to hear them. What message does this send? The message I heard loud and clear is that the public is not interested. They do not think there is a problem!
