Cary Talks About Y2k, Raleigh & Durham Seem to Shun Discussion . . .What are other towns doing?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Open Forum for Wilmington, North Carolina : One Thread

Is your town acknowledging a y2k risk at all? Cary and Chapel Hill seem to be. They're the only ones I know of.

Carteret County has monthly meetings the second Thursday of each month from 7-9pm at the Morehead City Recreation Center. Carteret Community College conducted a business awareness forum back in November in conjunction with the Careteret County Chamber of Commerce. I had invited Cp&L but was unsuccessful at getting them as well as Sprint to attend. How did your forum go and what did CPL tell the public? CMc

CP&L was pretty much all smiles and happy face. I will say this, the y2k manager, David Keyes did not shy away from questions. If someone had detailed and pointed questions, I believe that Keyes would take a stand at responding to them. He is available by telephone. You may get him to attend by teleconference to respond to questions. Good luck.
