shooting stars

I'm not sure if anybody noticed this, but when Rose and Jack were on deck after the 3rd class dance, they saw a shooting star. Jack told her that it was a soul going up to Heaven. And when they were at the ocean, Rose saw a shooting star flying across the sky. When she turned around, Jack was dead. Does that mean Jack went to Heaven?

Colleen: have you been reading the script? The scenes you describe aren't in the finished movie.

Colleen, I read that in the script, too, and inferred the same thing. But, unless you've seen a different version than I have, it wasn't in the finished flick.

I haven't noticed any shooting stars in the movie, although the script has an entire scene between R&J on this.

I read the script too, and I wished that scene would have been kept in the movie. Maybe when it comes out on video, it'll be a directors cut, and we'll be able to see it. Another scene comes to mind that I wish would have stayed in the movie too; when Rose is in her room and she feels smothered and starts tearing her room apart and rips off her necklace and thats when we see her running for the stern of the boat to jump.
