Wondering what it's like to start a threadgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Internet BOB Test : One Thread |
The Subject line says it. Here's a raw URL to see how it comes out: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/hb.html. Here's a link in HTML: George BrownSo far, I don't like the fact that the text doesn't wrap as I type. Perhaps there's a solution to this.

HTML is not WYSIWYG, so it's not relevant that text doesn't wrap. You can format however much you like, but HTML formatting rules will still apply. On the other hand, I am lazy enough that I won't enjoy typing
all the time. The nice thing is that you get e-mail when someone follows up on your thread.

The text wrapping issue, coupled with the small window, makes it awkward to review your posting before clicking onSheldon

Would it be possible to type a message off-line, in Word, or Notepad or whatever, and submit it as a document, or an attachment??? This typing process is pretty tedious.... Other than that, the idea is fine, as long as it doesn't go the way of the newsgroups, with every random looney using it for a soapbox. (BOB-certified looneys are OK, of course.)
