The motivation for this move...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Internet BOB Test : One Thread

I'm going to take a series of long vacations starting next year. As a result, I'm unlikely to be able to continue maintaining a mailing list by hand. The cycling.org list requires payment, and this is free, and has no limits on archival, and is very stable.

It also allows HTML links, which I like. If it allows for both e-mail alerts, and searchability, then it'll be a huge win over the current internet-bob mailing list.

Just thought you might like to know.

I'm replying to this message to see how I like the interface. I certainly hope Piaw has fun on his travels, but I'd really like it a LOT better if the text wrapped as I typed.

Well, if you're going to be gone, Piaw, I suppose it behooves us if there is some alternative. As they say, "You the man!", so you get to make the decision. You've done good so far -- you'll do good whatever your decision.

I understand your motivation and appreciate you letting us participate in the choosing. BUT, I really don't like this medium. I am on several majordomo lists and find them "perfectly adequate", although I don't really need archiving a digest mode. Thanks MC
