AGAIN! This is the last time. If it doesn't work, I hope you can somewhat read it :)(posted 8807 days ago)Hmm. You should try the DOS version of MAME 35TG3B then. After you put in the "mame -record game" (without the quotes) try putting in "- joy 4button" for the PSX pad or "-joy 6button" for that sidewinder. In one of the MAME text files it has all the joypad listings that you can put in. Here i will list them all (personally i feel the standard, 4button, and 6button work best, but experiment). I use the - joy 4button by the way if you wanted to know. I hope this helps.
-joy n (default: none) allows joystick input, n can be:
0/none - no joystick
1/standard - normal 2 button joystick
2/dual - dual joysticks
3/4button - Stick/Pad with 4 buttons
4/6button - Stick/Pad with 6 buttons
5/8button - Stick/Pad with 8 buttons
6/fspro - CH Flightstick Pro
7/wingex - Wingman Extreme - Wingman Warrior without spinner
8/sidewinder - Microsoft Sidewinder (up to 4)
9/gamepadpro - Gravis GamePad Pro
sneslpt1 - SNES pad on LPT1 (needs special hardware)
sneslpt2 - SNES pad on LPT2 (needs special hardware)
sneslpt3 - SNES pad on LPT3 (needs special hardware)
