Maybe he's done a runner. My understanding is that $50 was earned from banner clicks, the sponsors then pulled out so $50 became the final prize money for 1st place. If Chris is still around then it's a matter of honour for him to pay up but this is none of my business now of course because I didn't win!(posted 9015 days ago)Actually twice in my life I have been 'diddled' out of the prize for 1st place in video game competitions, a Sega Rally competition (£50), and a Mr. Do! competition (actual prize unspecified) both were hosted by businesses in their final throws. The first gave the feeble excuse that someone beat my best time 5 mins before the competition deadline which I did not believe for one moment, the second was under new management when I went back to collect my prize and denied all knowledge of it :-).
I don't know if the k1 page is still snowing, maybe Chris is still offline because of 'storms'.
