Now I'm confused. I made sure to delete my nvram files for magdrop2-pm games, although i have a few .nv stragglers back from earlier recordings, so I'm not sure what gb9 is talking about. The .nv shouldn't be required just because it's in Japanese mode, but I'm not sure that's what he was implying either.(posted 9256 days ago)The .nv issue is kind of an unspoken agreement to delete the .nv file for two reasons: 1) The convenience of someone playing it back (not having to copy the .nv file into the /nvram directory) 2)The possibility that the .nv file influences the gmae (in the sense of awarding more points, or making it easier). The only case that I am aware of 2 being a problem is for Hypersports, I believe (or was i Track n' Field)
So, including the .nv is permitted, but frowned upon. Also, beware that if another player challenges your socre and can prove you gained an advantage by NOT deleting the .nv, then your score will be deleted.
Hope I hit everything, skito.
