Bob: Don't dispair. You are on the right track.What you are missing is
time. Pat and I have been hauling 6-8 tons of leaves into our 40x120
garden each year for 10 years. We didn't get really deep, light soil
until the third year. I tilled, raked and deep-dug to no avail. It
