I realised you were meaning the "secret codes" versus the "255 lives" trick. I guess my opinion is that the difference here is the secret codes were a deliberate feature of the game and therefore are different to the 255 lives tricks on Mr Do, Sinistar etc or the non- firing bug in Galaga.(posted 9589 days ago)I still think that if anyone uses a code, they should include a readme file along with their inp file in the zipfile advising what the secret code they used was otherwise those who don't know the codes can't compete on an equal footing.
