2. While the host language is English, contributions are welcomed from all people in any language. If you are able to translate a non-English posting, then please do so.

3. Attachments are not possible, but HTML links using angeled backets may be used.

4. Length. Bear in mind that people may opt to receive postings by eMail.

5. Advertising. Use your discretion.

6. Moderation. The R.I.S.C will delete off topic messages and those posted by mistake, and move old or limited interest threads to an archive area.

How this System Works

This bboard software was written by Philip Greenspun and hosted for free by him started in 1995. Anyone could come in and create a forum and moderate the discussion. Most of the thousands of forums on this server were and are publicly searchable by Google and other Web indices.
