Welcome to Clear Spot.
The basics of this software work like this:
- To read a question or comment
, click on whichever
topic on the "New Questions" list interests you.
To answer a question or respond to a comment, click on the link at the "Contribute and answer" button at the
bottom of the page that opens. That will bring up a screen
in which you can enter and submit your answer.
Messages can also be typed in email programs or word processors and copied
and pasted into the text box used for submitting questions and answers.
To "Ask a Question" (or start a new discussion topic; it doesn't have to be in the form of a question), click on those words in the upper left of the
main window (above the list). A screen will come up that will allow you
to enter a new question. The "subject" of that question or topic or "thread"
will appear on the main, "New Questions," list after you've submitted it."
CAUTION: Please doublecheck your email address when entering a new
question or topic - and please use a VALID email address. Responses to initial, "top level postings" you make will be
forwarded to you via email. Your address will also be inserted at
the end of any messages you leave
so that people can communicate with you "offline" if that seems more
appropriate. If your address is entered incorrectly - of if it's NOT a valid address - it
will, of course, cause those messages to bounce. You'll miss them,
and it will cause administrative headaches.
Also, if
you lose or change your email address, please let the manager know, as the same situation will occur...
To receive automatic updates of new postings, click on
the link below that says, "request to be notified," or click the link that says "add an alert" near the bottom of this forum's main screen.
One other note about an oddball feature of this software: The link near the top of the main screen that says "Publisher" is the link that will always take you back to the page/web site that brought you here...
Click here to return to Clear Spot's main page (after clicking "request to be notified" below, if you want forum updates emailed to you).
