Thanks SLA, you proved my point... coordinating games you're guaranteed to get #1 at doesn't really promote much fun competition, it's just a free ego boost for the coordinator. If I was playing I'd have to be competing for 2nd place on Robotron or Zookeeper.(posted 8796 days ago)As for Shock Troopers. Yes, no matter how good you are, it would be impossible to pick up on every nuance of the game within two weeks' time. There is a LOT to learn about it. So if I had put it in the Olympiad, yes it would be a guaranteed 1st. The only other plus side is maybe getting someone else to try it and they find out they like it... but hey, there's a lot of games in the Olympiad, why bother trying to get a high score on that when there's plenty else to play? But like I've said, the competition on MARP is eternal.
I don't know if you'll start playing Shock Troopers (it's kinda like Robotron! har har... okay, not really), but I say the more people that play it the better. Especially now that my interest has been renewed in it...
