what happens next?

the halifax have made a county court claim against me with regards to an alleged mortgage shortfall. I duly submitted a defence using the Tupper case, Received, completed and returned an allocation questionaire, what will happen next? any info will be welcome. ( I have always disputed their claim but have offered an £1500 ex-gratia payment to get them off by backs, but then received the claim docs. Total claim is for £34K.)
