Well let's see....there have been *lots* of folks on here who can't put a sentence together, much less a cogent thought or two. I don't remember them being slammed, at least for quite a while...maybe it's been over a year. This poster has poor spelling and grammar, but I didn't have as much trouble getting the gist of her writing as perhaps some others have, apparently...(posted 9203 days ago)Since this woman just found our forum, I'm sure she's thanking you for such a warm welcome in the open sharing of opinions. That's what the forum is for, isn't it? Or? Maybe that's why you don't see a lot of the old timers posting on here anymore...maybe the rudeness got to them.
Here's someone who is actually doing something to change her life...better the life of her kid, going to school, telling us that we will ultimately save money by not having the government pay for a trial after her husband would have murdered her, trying to stay off public assistance, etc. Whether or not you agree with her, she has a very valid point about public schools being there for those folks who cannot afford expensive private ones, or for those who cannot afford to stay home and homeschool their kids. Whether you are an elitist corporado or bankster, or an elitist homeschooler, you are still an elitist if you can find no place for those folks who need public schools.
I don't have kids, much less the need for private schools, cell phones, etc. However, I have worked at labor-type jobs with marginal wages and observed how hard it is for some folks to get a foot hold in the climb to some measure of success. At least a little respect might help...
Just my $.02.
