Well, for one, it looks much nicer...
One of the main things is that one user account is usable across all
Emulation World messageboards. Of course, HTML can be used (if the
board moderator allows it) or basic markup (for those who don't know
HTML) to add images, links whatever. Have a look at one of the EW
boards (retrogames, Zophar's, Emucamp...)
