Response to RE-BLACK OLD WOODSTOVE

I used a little 'elbow grease' and a wire brush to remove the rust off of mine. (wear a face mask) Finished off with a Teflon sander. Found stove paint at the hardware store (flat) and the stove looked good as new! DO ALL OF THE WORK OUTSIDE! Also, you have to light a fire in the stove to 'cure' the paint-don't use damp wood! It smoked so much I called the fire dept., to tell them my house WASN"T on fire.
