Response to Poison Ivy! Help!

When my husband got yet another bad case of poison ivy last summer, our vet, a wise old country animal doc who could probably cure more humans than an MD if they'd license him, said "Scrub 'im down with homemade lye soap." Fortunately, I make our own soap, so we did just that. The soap, the homeopathics as mentioned by Walt, and an application of Bach's Rescue Remedy cream two or three times a day did the trick.
