Tom, There are many parasites as well as diseases that can be ZOONOTIC or transmissable from animals to humans. Always instruct the doc of the potential when you have farm critters. Some parasites are intestinal and can be screened for with a simple fecal examination. Others may be airborne-certain bacteria and fungal infections. There is no real way to screen for everything with just a couple of tests.(posted 9668 days ago)I also have a farm, 2 at home teens, grands, and a full time job. That can be enough to wear somebody down quick. I did find out that I wasn't suffering from parasitism, but winter depression! When the days get shorter, my attention span and will to do-just don't. Possibly messed up seratonin uptake, who knows. I have found great relief in something so simple as a mild anti-depressant. Works for me and I feel like working a little more. Sorry I couldn't give you a straight answer, but felt good yapping anyway. Take care and good luck.
