Response to Comfrey for Chickens

I keep a few patches of comfrey growing around our place. Every so often, I'll toss several handfuls to the birds. They gobble it up in a trice. They don't have access too often to our yard, (25+ birds running around our not-quite-an-acre homestead??? The neighbors'd love that) so on the weeks when the weeds aren't sufficient, the comfrey does them good. As far as what kind of good it does them, you'll have to look elsewhere for that info.
