How do I write a letter offering settlement so they don't chase anymore

Having been chased by the Bristol and West for about 3 years now and having paid a monthly amount we now want to make an offer of settlement but wnat to know how to word it correctly so they can't come back in say 2 years time and demand more money. Any ideas or experiences greatly appreciated.
