Reposession

I got a vehicle loan co-signing with my grandmother to help her because she is handicapped, my grandfather passed away and my grandmothers bills went down hill, we allowed the vehicle to be reposessed and of course its on my credit report...what is the best way for me to eliminate that mark and boot my credit score?
