sony vx9000e have sony stpped production?

hi, just wondering does anyone know if sony has stopped production on vx 9000e and why if thy have?

also i'm thinking about buying one secondhand and this guy said that sony stopped production cause all the freelance production guys were buying them up being cheap and all and sony was losing money in the highend market, is this true?

also can anyone tell me how good they are are they better than an xl1s or a pd150?
