Which light-reflector to use?

Hi there,

I am planning to get some reflectors for Canon XL1 kit for multi purposes (mainly interview situations). As I can see they come in 3 different colour shadings: white/silver, white/gold, silver/gold. Which one should I get? How does one use them? Any recommendations on size? I am inclined to go for the smallest ones, since they are most handy to travel with. Any help greatly appreciated!!
