Ian, I was in the same situation as you. This is only my opinion of course, but I settled for a tiny sum to ensure I didnt end up with a CCJ against me for substantially more than the settlement figure. I did all the fighting this and that but didnt want to take the chance. If you think you have a good case then no reason not to fight it, entirely upto you. But remember if you dont settle and you do get a CCJ pretty good chance you will struggle to get a mortgage in future, not scaer mongering just a fact.(posted 7581 days ago)good luck!
