Response to Repossessions and etc.....!

I am very keen to try and buy a home quite soon,and I know what it feels like to have one's home taken away 'repossesed'. In fact my home was repossessed in the 1990's. It let me homeless with 3 very young children and a 'village idiot'who never paid the mortgage I would give him the money and that was the last I would see of it. May be I was the idiot!!!! Iwould very much like to buy now some 10 years on How can this be done? Any ideas out there. Many thanks Liza.
