Wireless Communications between Camera Men

I am looking for a way to communicate between camera men through a wirless headset. Can anybody tell me what they are using or offer suggestions? I've tried a those FRS voice activated types, but they respond to slowly, and so you miss part of what the person was saying on the receiveing end. I know professionals use something because I've seen it at various events. Can anyone offer any affordable solutions for small videography event people?
