Response to XL1 Headphone Jack- how to get a good signal?

the problem is your headphones not the camcorder. AKG headphones are low gain pro recording studio devices. i converted my recording studio to accomodate 6 of these units and had many problems matching the power of these phones to other sets; THEY TAKE 3 TIMES THE POWER TO ACHIEVE THE SAME LEVEL! while these are great headphones they require a separate amplifier. (i also own an XL1s and have experienced the same problem you have, so i simply use other headsets with much better results)
