Technical Pan portrait help

I love the grainless contrasty look of Technical Pan. I've been pumping myself up to shoot some portraits with it, but it is kind of hard for me to get so I want to minimise experimentation/mistakes. What experiences has anyone had with it? Specifically, I imagine the red-sensitivity would change the way white people look, but do you have any advice?
