Response to Rodinal with Ascorbate - what am I doing wrong???

I forgot one thing to say, anticipating Pete Andrews favourite comment "photographic chemistry is a black art." I AGREE! It's probably only just a bit more predictable than making a good wine and good stout... (and I read a lot more about pyrocatechin about publications on beverages than photography!)
