Late last year I began to delve into making my own chemistry to take the place for commercial products that will slowly be phased out in the next few years (conjecture on my part). I wish I would have done it several years ago because it is very satisfying to have that additional control over the process. The commercial equivalent is Kodak XTOL, which I have used exstensively the last 2 years.
