should I contact them?

I have received no correspondence from the building society for the last two years.The last letter I had from them was informing me that my property had been sold (for a much reduced sum of money). this letter was sent to my parents house, i sent the letter back 'not known at this address'. I am worried that the money owe them will be having interest added on to it. Should I contact them to try to sort the problem out?
