uh, no. those works are derivative of Tolkien, as is most modern-day fantasy. i'm really amazed how many people here obviously haven't read the books. i thought they would be obvious requisites for fantasy geeks (since unless you feel like reading middle english poetry, they were the first modern fantasy), but it seems like my presumption is just making me look more and more ignorant.(posted 8745 days ago)the quote on Sauron's One Ring, for what it's worth is: "One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them", but if you haven't read the books, you won't get the subtleties beyond that. anyway, it seems only Angelo has actually read the books, so I guess no-one is really going to get why MAME wearing the One Ring is a very clever comment.
