Response to September 15, 2001

At first glance my impression was what's so special about this shot. But after looking it after a while I think it captures the mood of the country after Sept 11th very well. The father being cut off adds to the shot, also the movement of the flag. I think this is one of those shots that will be appreciated more in the future. Often we see shots from the 50's and 60's and think they are great because they depict the events of that time. I think this shot will do the same.
