Gary, I agree there is no problem using a plastic tank. HOWEVER, about a year ago I put IR film in a plastic tank and let it sit around for a few days before development - something I do frequently with regular b&w film. WOW, my IR film was ruined and it looked to me like it received additional 'exposure' in the tank.(posted 8227 days ago)chris
