attached is the text from my letter, also to Evershits. Chris is pretty much there with the full and final bit. My letter came from NACABS. The areas I've left in CAPITALS are for the personal bits to be chucked in. I can't definitively say its the best letter but it covers the main bits and did the trick for me. Well done. 1K from 20K is a result. Mine was 1.5K from 18K.

The cheque is made out for THE AMOUNT FOLLOWING BY THE AMOUNT IN WORDS IN BRACKETS as a lump sum in full and final settlement of my liability on mortgage account number PUT YOUR ROLLCODE NERE IF YOU KNOW IT.

The cheque is sent to you strictly on the basis that you confirm in writing that I will be released from all covenants, conditions, terms and further costs of the mortgage.

If you are unable to provide such information of release and cannot accept this amount in full and final settlement of the debt you must return the cheque to me directly and not bank it.
