NEW GREEN DAY/CASEY MOVIE ANNOUNCED!!!

It's confirmed!!!

Daily Variety had a piece today confirming that Casey Affleck has signed on to play Billy Joe Armstrong in Sony Pictures' production "Neurotic to the Core", the life story of Green Day lead singer Bill Joe Armstrong!!!

In a statement from Sony VP Derek Waterhouse, Sony made the official announcement. Said Derek, "We're pleased that we were able to secure Mr. Affleck to play this role...by 'Affleck', I mean Casey. He bears an uncanny resemblance to the main character, and he can sing."

Ironically, it was stated that Casey wouldn't actually be singing in the film, and that all the vocals would be dubbed. Shooting is slated to begin in October, and will be filmed on location in clubs in Boston, Chicago and Los Angeles.

I can't WAIT to see Casey in another rock film. I wonder if they'll have him in eyeliner again???
