Response to Goal difference?

from Q.T.Quazar (qan@home.com)
It would be, but consider that time taken for an opponent to score is time lost for you to score. So such a change would essentially be unnecessary, and high end scores will reflect this.

If this isn't a satisfactory excuse, talk to Pat Laffaye and he can bring the issue to a vote. However, we tend to only modify scoring rules at MARP when current scores are leading to a series of ties for first place. Since a modification isn't really necessary for this game (and makes the scoring system more complex) I would recommend against it. Consider the difference between this game (a multiple round game) and games like Goalie Ghost or Off the Wall (Sente) (single round games) where scores are much closer.

Then again, we could consider a general modification along these lines for all sports games at MARP, but that will mean remodifying a few hundred scores (again). Maybe this is an idea we should consider, but as a future change...?

Hope this answers your question.
