Jeff i know what you mean about some event happening, and you want to grab it, but the composition isn't there. this is a case where i'm glad you shot anyway, because her expression is wonderful and i think it carries the photo well enough. of course you have a ton of other shots where the timing and composition worked together for you, and i guess those are "better" shots in a more general sense. since you've titled this one "expression", it works at that level really well.
I think i'd dodge her face just a little though, it seems a bit dark.
what umbrella? oh that one? shoot... it fades into the background and i don't even notice it. good thing it wasn't one of those dark ones tho... :o)
