Response to 99% Isopropyl for dissolving Glycin??

from Ed Buffaloe (edb@unblinkingeye.com)
Crawley recommends 50ml of isopropyl alcohol, if the glycin won't dissolve in the solution after 3 minutes of stirring. He recommends boiling the water first, then cooling to 30 degrees C. I tend to think it would dissolve if the glycin were fresh, but I've never tried to mix FX-2, and solution A may not be alkaline enough.
