I bought some test rolls of 135 gigabitfilm before the actual product release and made test shots from the "highest church tower on earth". Concerning the previous discussion, I would assume that the hand on the watch is a special wide one (or are in fact two hands). I did some calculations from the pixel sizes of the image on the gigabit website and concluded, that the "1000x" enlargement must have close to 100 microns across. The aparent width of the hand is 4 pixels which comes to 4/147*100 = a bit less than 3 microns.
