Reluctant Buddies

from Todd Frederick (fredrick@hotcity.com)

Very recently I made a painted muslin backdrop to use in a wedding I photographed yesterday. To help me check it out I asked my oldest son to do some posing. He should be a model. I just wish he had any job! Anyone have a job? He wanted to hold his dog. I wonder who seems most uncomfortable? You should have seen the pup when the lights started to flash! It ended quickly! Thought this was a cute photo to share. Backdrops are easy to make...9x15" muslin, cold water dye, flat latex paint and an old wash cloth to blob it on! Canon A2, TMY100, with some very simple portable "studio" lighting...I call it: "Vivitar-On-A-Stick!"
