Response to how is 8 mm. film processed?

It can be developed. Check the search feature in photo.net, I'm sure
this came up and someone listed labs. Whether there is any latent
image left on the film is open to question... Worth the try because
of the age of the film (K-12 is basically a black and white film, and
depending on storage conditions there just might be a latent image
left) but be prepared to be dissappointed.
