Short and simple. Leave it exactly like the arcade and judge on a game to game basis. I mean, allow continues (maybe limit them to 3 max) to finish games like SMB but as soon as a player tries to scab for points from using unnecessary continues, disqualify the inp. I can finish the game with maybe one or two conintues. If I wanted to go for a maxed out score, I can do that too. That's not the issue here, it's to allow the player to finish a game by using a continue or two and getting the highest score they can without using a continue just for scabbing points.(posted 9167 days ago)A game like Dr. Mario is perfect for using continues, because there is no way to scab on this game or use a continue to repeat a stage to get points. No one I know of will be able to use extra continues to max out the score on this game at 10M pts. Especially if it's played on a medium setting like I did when I got to level 28 and scored 899,000. I used extra increments to allow me to play longer on the same game, otherwise my score would of been like 250k.
