If in fact you are a mortgage shortfall victim that has recently discovered this site then you've come to the right place because there is a great deal of information on the Data Protection Act on the site. Most contributors to his site have become quite knowledgeable on the content of the Act and it's purpose. So if you are in fact having trouble with serving a Subject Access Rights Request on a lender then there's always someone who's "been there and got the tee shirt" to help you.
If in fact you've posted your question for some other purpose, in error, then I would suggest you familiarise yourself with the Act itself, it's purpose, the rights it bestows on the individual and who is required to register.
