do you get a ccj after a repossession

what happens when you are a second name on a mortgage (non paying), but not the one who is purchasing the house which is repossessed due to non payment by the other party unbeknown to the second party. Would you get a CCJ even though you weren`t the one who was supposed to be paying, and what could you do if it happened
