Capture Driver not found in G3

I have a G3 350 and installed Premiere 5.1. I have a firewire port which I plug my Panasonic camera DV 400. Everytime I try to capture video, it tells me that a capture driver is not found. I tried to plug it in a G4 and that seemed to work.. Is there a plug in that I need for the G3 that is already standard in a G4? Thanks.
