Response to question for PMK users

from Don Karon (dkaron@socal.rr.com)
I use HP5+ in PMK also in 120 size. I don't use a JOBO motorized tank, just the old fashioned flip it over yourself type.

I have found that my film speed is 200 in PMK which produces a film base plus fog density of around 0.10. I develop for 8'0" at 70 deg F with a liter of stock solution, agitate 2x per 15 sec. This produces Zone VIII density of 1.15 which works well on my condenser enlarger.

You'll need to run your own tests because 1) you are using less stock solution than I am 2) the JOBO tank could lead to rapid oxidation and inactivation of the PMK and 3) everybody's equipment is a little bit different.

Definitely get Hutching's book.
