Xtol dev times - contradicts by Kodak

I've been using Xtol 1+1 for about a year with Tmax films with great results. I just tried Delta 400 (@ 320) with poor results. I followed the development time suggested in Kodak J-109 pub on Xtol, 10:50 @68F, but noticed that the Xtol package suggested starting at 8:00 @ 68F. Left hand please meet the right hand.

Can anyone share a time and temp they've found to work between Xtol 1+1 and D400?
